Getting started
What is MoonBase?
MoonBase is a hosting platform for AI-generated projects. Upload a ZIP of your project and get a live HTTPS URL. MoonBase handles framework detection, compatibility repair, and deployment automatically.
Do I need to know how to code to use MoonBase?
No. MoonBase is designed for anyone who can generate a project with an AI tool, regardless of their technical background.
What AI tools work with MoonBase?
All of them. Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, GitHub Copilot, and any other tool that generates code. MoonBase doesn’t have a compatibility list — if the project runs, MoonBase can host it.
How do I deploy my first project?
Create an account, click “New Project”, upload your ZIP, and wait. You’ll have a live URL within a minute in most cases.
Pricing and plans
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes a set amount of storage and bandwidth per month. No credit card required to start.
What happens if I go over my plan limits?
Your site won’t be deleted. We’ll notify you and give you time to upgrade before any service interruption.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Plan changes take effect immediately.
Technical questions
What frameworks does MoonBase support?
Next.js, React, Vue, Svelte, SvelteKit, Astro, Nuxt, vanilla HTML/CSS/JS, Node.js backends, and more. Framework detection is automatic.
Does MoonBase support custom domains?
Yes. You can connect your own domain to any project. DNS instructions are provided in your project settings.
Does MoonBase handle HTTPS automatically?
Yes. All sites run on HTTPS. Certificates are provisioned and renewed automatically at no extra cost.
Can I deploy multiple projects?
Yes. Each project gets its own URL, settings, and deployment history.
How do I manage environment variables?
Environment variables are managed directly in your project settings in MoonBase. They’re encrypted at rest and injected at runtime. You never need to include them in your ZIP.
What’s the maximum ZIP size?
This depends on your plan. Free plan has a lower limit. Check your plan details for exact numbers.
Can I roll back a deployment?
Yes. Every version you’ve deployed is preserved. You can roll back to any previous version from your project’s deploy history.
Security and privacy
Is my code private?
Yes. Your project files are not publicly accessible beyond the live URL of your deployed site.
Are environment variables secure?
Yes. Environment variables are encrypted at rest. They are never visible after you save them, and they are never included in build logs.
Who has access to my projects?
Only you, unless you explicitly invite team members. MoonBase staff do not access your project files except as required to diagnose reported technical issues.

Account and billing
How do I cancel my account?
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation and then deleted.
What payment methods are accepted?
Major credit and debit cards. Additional payment methods may be available depending on your region.
