Overview

MoonBase is a hosting platform for projects generated by or with AI tools. This policy explains how we handle AI-generated content, how we use automation within the platform, and your responsibilities when hosting AI-powered applications.

Hosting AI-generated projects

Your content, your responsibility

MoonBase hosts projects regardless of how they were generated. You retain ownership of your Projects subject to applicable law and the terms of any AI tools you used. You are solely responsible for everything your hosted Project does, displays, or transmits — including all AI-generated content within it.

Intellectual property

The legal status of AI-generated content under copyright and intellectual property law varies by jurisdiction and is still evolving. MoonBase makes no representation about whether AI-generated content in your Project is protectable or owned by you. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with applicable laws and the terms of the AI tools you used to generate your Project.

Accuracy and reliability

AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or legally problematic content. MoonBase does not review your Projects for accuracy, appropriateness, or legal compliance. If your Project provides information, advice, or services to users, you are solely responsible for that content and for ensuring appropriate disclaimers are visible to your users.

How MoonBase uses automation

Inspector

MoonBase’s Inspector uses deterministic, rule-based analysis — not generative AI — to read the structure of your uploaded Projects. It identifies framework type, output paths, environment variable references, and potential issues. It does not interpret, rewrite, or evaluate the content of your application.

Compatibility Engine

The Compatibility Engine applies deterministic transformations to resolve common structural issues in AI-generated projects. It does not use generative AI to modify your code. Changes made by the Compatibility Engine are structural (paths, configuration) rather than functional.

No training on your data

MoonBase does not use your Project files, code, or application content to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning model. Your data is used solely to provide the Service to you.

Hosting AI-powered applications

If your Project includes an AI-powered feature such as a chatbot, AI assistant, content generator, or automated decision system:

Disclosure to your users

You must not deceive your users into believing they are interacting with a human when they are interacting with an AI system. Where required by applicable law — including the EU AI Act and similar legislation — you must clearly disclose the AI nature of your application to end users.

Prohibited AI applications

You may not use MoonBase to host AI applications that:

• Generate or serve content that sexually exploits minors
• Are designed to facilitate fraud, scams, or social engineering attacks
• Perform unauthorized surveillance, tracking, or profiling of individuals
• Generate or amplify disinformation at scale
• Are designed to harass or cause harm to specific individuals
• Engage in manipulative practices exploiting psychological vulnerabilities
• Violate any applicable AI regulation or law

Regulatory compliance is your responsibility

AI regulation is evolving across all jurisdictions, including the EU AI Act, national implementations, and emerging legislation in other markets. You are solely responsible for ensuring your AI-powered application complies with all applicable laws in all jurisdictions where it operates. MoonBase is an infrastructure provider only and accepts no responsibility for the regulatory compliance of your application or its outputs.

Liability

You are fully responsible for your Projects and the behavior of any AI systems they contain. MoonBase is not liable for any harm caused by AI-generated content, inaccurate outputs, discriminatory results, regulatory violations, or any other consequence of running AI-powered applications through the Service.
